General Information
Dear Colleague,
I would like to welcome you to the Annual Meeting of the Israel Orthopedic
Association, which will be held at the Jerusalem International Convention
Center, 17-19 December 2008.
This year is the 60th anniversary of the state of Israel. It is an opportunity
to come and celebrate with us on this special occasion.
Eight distinguished international speakers lead by Prof. J.D. Zuckerman, Vice President of the AAOS, will lecture on Spine, Ped-Orthopedics, Shoulder, Joint Replacement, Sport Medicine, Foot and Ankle, Trauma, Geriatric Fractures and Residents’ Education.
The invited lectures will be given in the plenary sessions Wednesday
through Thursday. Free papers sessions in every subspecialty will take
place before and after the plenary sessions. You are invited to submit
and present papers in these sessions.
The third day of the meeting will be the Specialty Day in which seven different
societies will converse simultaneously; you are welcome to choose which
one to join.
The social program will include a Gala Dinner and a tour to the Western
Wall and Tunnels in the Old City of Jerusalem.
I hope you will join us for this special occasion for enriching our orthopedic
knowledge and enjoying the magnificent sights and sounds of Jerusalem.
Looking forward to welcoming you in Jerusalem,
